Carowinds is offering a free Pre-K Pass for children ages 3 to 5 for the 2026 season, giving the youngest parkgoers unlimited access to the 407-acre theme park on the North Carolina-South Carolina border. The pass is available to families who hold a valid 2026 Silver, Gold, or Prestige Season Pass or Membership, with registration and in-park activation required by May 31.

The program launched on April 22 and runs through May 31. Each qualifying passholder or member may add up to two Pre-K passes. Children ages 2 and under do not require a pass to enter the park.

"At a time when families are watching their budgets very closely, the Pre‑K Pass provides real value while helping create a season full of fun experiences kids and parents will remember for years," said Christian Dieckmann, the company's chief commercial officer, in a statement.

The Pre-K Pass extends to 22 parks across the Six Flags Entertainment Corp. network, including California's Great America, Canada's Wonderland, Cedar Point, Dorney Park, Frontier City, Kings Dominion, and several Six Flags locations. Not all parks are included; excluded locations include Hurricane Harbor Concord and Phoenix, Kings Island, Knott's Berry Farm, and Six Flags Magic Mountain, among others. The pass does not include parking or separately ticketed events.

Families must register online and activate the pass at a park entrance on a regular operating day with a valid birth certificate or passport. The pass is not sold separately and requires an existing adult pass or membership.

Carowinds, owned and operated by Six Flags Entertainment Corp., is primarily located in Charlotte and features more than 60 rides, Camp Snoopy children's attractions, and Carolina Harbor, a 27-acre water park included with park admission. Six Flags Entertainment Corp. operates parks across 13 states, Canada, and Mexico.
