Getty Images Stock PhotoReady to get in and out at the DMV during your next visit? Well, 10 additional DMV self service kiosk will be added across North Carolina. Officials reported Tuesday that there will be five in Charlotte.
The new additions will help with customer service during DMV trips. The new five coming to Charlotte will bring the total number of kiosks to nine in the area.
“Every little step we take, the more we move online, the more things we do in the office to create efficiency, it’s going to continue to drive that down further and further,” said Paul Tine, Commissioner of the North Carolina DMV, to WBTV.
The self servce kioks were added to North Carolina two years ago to relieve long wait times. Since then, there have been over 80,000 transactions for customers.
So far, here are the locations of 8 out of 9 kiosks in Charlotte.
- Harris Teeter: 4701 Smith Farm Road
- Publix: 10110 Benfield Road
- Harris Teeter: 8600 University City Boulevard
- Harris Teeter: 2717 South Boulevard
- Harris Teeter: 1704 Central Avenue
- Harris Teeter: 112 South Sharon Amity Road
- Charlotte DMV: 201 West Arrowood Road
- Harris Teeter: 8538 Park Road
