Lovin' Life Music Festival won't return to Charlotte in 2026. Organizers made the announcement Friday, blaming conditions outside their power. The three-day concert at First Ward Park in uptown Charlotte had occurred two years running since kicking off in 2024.
"Thank you for making Lovin' Life such an amazing success. Because of you, Lovin' Life was named one of USA Today's '10 Best New Festivals in the Country' and together we brought national artists to Charlotte while creating a platform for local talent," organizers said in a statement posted to Instagram and the festival's website. "That's why it's especially disappointing to share that, due to circumstances outside our control, Lovin' Life will take a short pause in 2026 — Stay tuned for updates."
The news arrived months after organizers had emailed ticket buyers with a promise: the concert would happen May 1-3, 2026. They gave no explanation about what caused the cancellation.
That first 2024 concert sold out. Post Malone, Stevie Nicks, and Noah Kahan topped the bill. USA Today ranked it the No. 6 Best New Festival in the country.
The 2025 show brought Gwen Stefani, Dave Matthews Band, Weezer, Benson Boone, Teddy Swims, Pitbull, and Ludacris to the Queen City. Over 50 musicians performed across three stages during Memorial Day weekend.
The Charlotte Observer reported the 2025 crowd appeared smaller than the first year. Critics questioned the lineup. Weather became a problem across the weekend — heavy rains and lightning forced a temporary evacuation.
Southern Entertainment organized the concert but hasn't shared more details about the pause. Several Charlotte news outlets have contacted the company and city officials for answers.
The Instagram account for Lovin' Life Music Festival still urged fans to stay tuned for 2026 as of publication.
