Angelina Jolie and Daughter Zahara: Brunch, Bonding, and a Bold Keynote Speech
Angelina Jolie and daughter Zahara were all smiles during a mother-daughter brunch at a Women in Training, Inc. event in Alabama.

Ahead of the event, the organizers announced that Zahara wound deliver the keynote speech. In an interview, Adeyela Bennett, president and CEO of Women in Training, said, “We are truly honored that Zahara Jolie-Pitt will speak at the Fourth Annual WIT Mother-Daughter Brunch about her passion to end period poverty, which is the mission of Women in Training.”
She added, “We are also excited that her mother, the internationally renowned movie star Angelina Jolie, will join us to support her daughter and to support our goal of ensuring that every girl and young woman has the products she needs to live her life to the fullest extent.”
Founded in 2019, Women in Training Inc., according to its website, is “a youth empowerment organization.” Its signature program, the WITKITS Campaign, helps “alleviate period poverty among the 25% of American young people who skip school or miss work because they cannot afford menstrual products.”
The organization provides monthly donations of WITKITS to “at-risk girls, low-income women and nonbinary youth.” The kits include menstrual, hygiene and dental products. After the pandemic, additional personal protective equipment or PPEs, such as masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer, were added.
The twin founders of WIT, 17-year-old Breanna and Brooke Bennett, were both appreciative of Zahara accepting their invitation. In a statement to US Weekly, Breanna said, “We’re very happy Zahara came! Her speech was perfection and so vulnerable, yet powerful! It was exactly what we wanted the whole event to be about, and it wouldn’t have been the same without her!”
Her twin, Brooke, echoed the same sentiment, saying, “The great thing is that we have now developed a working relationship with Zahara. We want to partner with her to take our menstrual equity message globally.”
Zahara’s recent involvement with WIT seemed to signal her eagerness to follow in the humanitarian footsteps of her mother.
