Charlotte's Mint Museum will turn into a pop-up pottery shop on December 14. Local artists hit by recent storms will sell their work from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Rough storms damaged many studios this fall, leaving artists without places to work. Now, through this special event, these skilled makers can sell their pieces straight to art fans.

The downtown museum's coordinator, Vince Long, organized this sale to help Western North Carolina's artists get back on their feet. His goal? Getting talented potters in front of people who love buying one-of-a-kind pieces. Shoppers will find all sorts of pottery until the end of the day. The museum will be packed with talent, as artists show off their work in one place.

Want to come by? Head to the museum's website for all the details — from parking info to which door to use. You'll also find a complete list of the artists who'll be there.
