Avelo Airlines is expanding its service at the Concord-Padgett Regional Airport in Concord, North Carolina. The airline will open a new base at the airport, station two planes there, and create up to 50 jobs with the airline. With this expansion, Avelo will add two nonstop flight routes from Concord to Daytona Beach, Florida, and Nashville, Tennessee.

“Our Queen City customers tell us they have loved flying Avelo since we took flight at USA six months ago,” said Andrew Levy, Avelo Airlines founder and CEO, in an interview with WCCB-TV.

Levy noted that the Concord-Padgett Regional Airport provides a small airport feel to travelers compared to that of Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT). He also added that Avelo aims to further enhance its current nine nonstop flight offerings.

"Avelo's new Charlotte base will enable us to bring more affordable, convenient, and industry-leading reliability to even more destinations," he said.
