The Charlotte Motor Speedway has featured a condominium tower above Turn 1 since 1984, with all 40 units offering a view of the racing surface. While most of these condos are occupied mainly during race weekends or rented out on platforms like Airbnb, some owners made them their permanent residences.

Among them is Christian Espinoza, who has unexpectedly become well-known in the NASCAR community. According to his series of TikTok videos, Espinoza's family bought a corner unit in 2018 when he was a student at nearby UNC Charlotte, and he now uses it as his primary home. In 2019, NBC’s Rutledge Wood even featured him with a camera crew during the Cup Series broadcast, and Espinoza shares updates about his unique “Condo Corner” lifestyle on Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.

Recently, two condos have hit the market. One is priced at $535,000, while the other is listed at $575,000. Each unit measures approximately 1,100 square feet and includes two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Listing agent Kristen Bernard from Keller Williams SouthPark notes that the $535,000 unit has been owned by two Charlotte families for the last 40 years. According to the Charlotte Business Journal, the original owners purchased it for $130,000 back in 1984. Bernard explains that they have simply outgrown the condo and no longer use it as frequently. “As for why they are selling, their families have grown, some moved away, and they don’t use it as often as they did. Also, they used it a lot for client entertainment and haven’t utilized it over the years as they once did.”

One property description says, “Race fans and luxury seekers alike, this is your dream come true! This unique 2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom condo is one of the finest units in the building and offers a one-of-a-kind view overlooking the legendary Charlotte Motor Speedway. Imagine relaxing in your living room while watching the excitement unfold right from your wall of floor-to-ceiling windows!”

The description for the other listing reads, “Experience the thrill of race days and luxurious living at First Turn Condominiums, located within Charlotte Motor Speedway! This exclusive condo offers five race day tickets with an option to purchase more, making it the ultimate NASCAR haven or corporate getaway.”

According to Mooresville Realty, the building features two dedicated parking spaces and a secure lobby, along with five race day tickets that grant access to the track. While these condos were the first of their kind and do have residents living in them year-round, similar units can also be found at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth and at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
