Unfortunately, another North Carolina house has found its way into the ocean after collapsing earlier this week. After just a few months of another home going viral online for collapsing, the third one this year just went into the Altnta Ocean off the North Carolina coast.

North Carolina Houses Collapse in Ocean

WBTV reports that a home in Rodanthe recently collapsed, but thankfully no one was inside the home during the time of the collapse. Unfortunately, another home nearby was damaged due to the collapse. The collapse has caused debris to enter the ocean and officials are requesting people stay clear of the area until the cleanup is complete.

This collapse is now the 8th report of a home falling in the last 4 years, but the third one in 2024. Many homes in the area have been finding their way surrounded by water. As erosion and sea levels continue to rise, the risk of more homes collapsing seems to increase.

Hopefully, no more homes will collapse into the ocean. Right now, officials have not yet said anything else regarding homes in the area still surrounded by water. See the full news report here for any further information. The video below is from the home that collapsed just a few months ago.
