Halsey Confirms Engagement To Actor Avan Jogia

Halsey and Avan Jogia are engaged! The singer confirmed the news on X on September 12, referring to Jogia as her "fiancé."

When Halsey shared the announcement on Instagram, fans quickly reacted. “CONGRATULATIONS YOU DESERVE [crying emoji],” one person wrote. “So happy for you Halsey!” another commented. A fan humorously referenced Jogia’s role as Beck Oliver in Victorious, saying, “Don’t let Jade find out abt this!”

Halsey and Jogia, a musician and former Victorious actor, first sparked dating rumors in September 2023 when they were seen kissing in Los Angeles. About a month later, Halsey confirmed their relationship by posting a carousel of photos on Instagram, which included pictures of them together. In these images, the pair wore matching latex Halloween outfits, with one showing Jogia’s arm around Halsey’s shoulders.

Jogia shared his own photos from the outing on Instagram, two of which included Halsey. The couple continued their coordinated looks in October, with Halsey posting more images on Instagram, captioning one, "There is a lighthouse in the middle of the deep."

Their relationship has remained visible on social media, with Halsey recently posting pictures of the two attending the Gold House Gala in May. In April, they collaborated on an ad for the Energy Angel collection of Halsey's makeup brand, About Face. Jogia directed and starred alongside Halsey in the video, and the credits noted that both of them served as makeup artists for the shoot.

Jogia is best known for his role in Nickelodeon’s Victorious and later starred in Now Apocalypse and Orphan Black: Echoes, as well as films like Ten Thousand Saints and Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City. Ahead of the release of his directorial debut Door Mouse in 2023, he told Teen Vogue that he doesn’t "look back on [Nickelodeon] fondly."

Halsey shares a 3-year-old son, Ender Ridley, with her ex-boyfriend Alex Aydin. The couple split in April 2023.

Earlier this year, Halsey also opened up about her health struggles, which she reflects on in her song “The End.” On Instagram, she revealed her diagnosis of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and a "rare" T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder in 2022.

"Both of which are currently being managed or in remission; and both of which I will likely have for the duration of my life," she shared.

SLE is the most common form of lupus, a chronic autoimmune disease causing inflammation and pain throughout the body, according to the Lupus Foundation of America. The National Institute of Health describes lymphoproliferative disorders as "a group of diseases characterized by uncontrolled production of lymphocytes that cause monoclonal lymphocytosis, lymphadenopathy, and bone marrow infiltration," often affecting immunocompromised individuals and potentially leading to conditions like leukemia or lymphoma.
