Wanna know the key to a long happy marriage? Apparently sleeping in separate bedrooms saves marriages according to new research. Longtime couples are coming clean about the secret to saving their relationships is snoozing in separate beds. From Miami to Minneapolis, partners share their stories, citing snoring, hot flashes, and differing schedules as reasons for separate slumbers.
Experts have weighed in, suggesting better sleep can lead to better relationships. “We know that poor sleep can worsen your mood, and those who are sleep-deprived are more likely to argue with their partners,” says pulmonologist Dr. Seema Khosla.
Forget studies that say you should snuggle, touch or spoon each other through out the night. I love sleeping in different beds when my wife is sick, I'm too drunk to get off the couch, or my dog is hoggin the covers! Other than that tho I don't want sleep in another room. For one I love our mattress too much, the guest room mattress doesn't compare! There's also no TV in the spare room. So count me out on this one haha!
Separate rooms are catching on with celebs too Daily Mail reports. Cameron Diaz revealed last December that she wanted to “normalize” the sleeping arrangements with her husband Benji Madden. “To me, I would literally - I have my house, you have yours. We have the family house in the middle. I will go and sleep in my room. You go sleep in your room. I'm fine,” adding, “And we have the bedroom in the middle that we can convene in for our relations.”
Woman Ties The Knot With … The Color Pink
We mentioned this story on the air this morning...
A California woman who says she’s been in the same relationship for 40 years felt it was time to finally make things official. So on January 1st, Kitten Kay Sera got married … to the color pink. She actually made history with the nuptials by becoming the first known person to marry the color pink.
Kitten calls herself “the pinkest person in the world” and says she was dating the shade for the last four decades before saying “I do.” She got the idea for the wedding from a child who said since she loved pink so much, she should marry it. So that’s exactly what she did. And it may seem like a joke, but this bride takes it seriously, calling the event “the biggest day” of her life in a Insta post.
As you would expect at a wedding to the color pink, Kitten was decked out in several shades of it when she walked down the aisle. She wore a puffy wedding gown, a bright fluffy coat, and sparkly heels, all in different shades of pink. Her pink hair was swept up into a bun and finished with a pink tiara and her “bridesmen” were even wearing pink suits. For the actual ceremony, the bride held a larger-than-life paint swatch with her five favorite shades of pink and she gave herself a lovely pink gemstone for her wedding ring.
Check out the big day...
