Dua Lipa Won’t Fall For Your ‘Illusion’ In Sexy Poolside Video

First, she pulled a "Houdini," and now, Dua Lipa won't be falling for your "Illusion" in her latest song and music video. Taking fans for a dip and splash, the singer-songwriter debuted her newest track, "Illusion," from her highly-anticipated Radical Optimism album on Friday (April 12).

The 28-year-old British pop star wore two iconic outfits for the video. The first was her signature all-black look, offsetting her deep red hair. She wore a high-neck, cheeky black crocheted leotard with black tights and black boots. Then she goes full-on bold with a crocheted red long sleeve with a bralette peeking out and a thick studded belt hanging on her waist. Throughout the music video, Dua embraces her sex appeal and has fun with synchronized swimming routines, platforms in the pool, and epic choreography.

The catchiest part of the new track is obviously the bridge. She sings: "Ooh, what you doin'? Don't know who you think that you're confusing. Gotta be like, ooh, it's amusin'. You think I'm gonna fall for an illusion?" Commenting on the new track, fans flocked to Dua's Instagram to share their thoughts. Kehlani wrote: "theeeeeeee pop girllllieeeeeeee." One fan commented: "IT’S A BOP !!! I’M OBSEESED !!! CAN’T WAIT THE ALBUM [crying emojis]" Another said, "serving us the best bridges this era." Like the icon she is, Dua grabs a silver ring and is easily suspended up hundreds of feet into the air, looking powerful (and making it look effortless). The song is an independent woman's anthem, singing about taking those "rose-colored glasses off" and seeing a fraud for a fraud. Instead of the usual ignoring red flags, putting lovers on a pedestal, Dua's latest track shows her being strong and confident enough to know what she deserves.

After Dua dropped the music video, the award-winning artist also dropped an extended version of the track on YouTube. Just like she did with "Houdini" and "Training Season," fans can most likely expect remixes and other versions to drop. The venue first opened in Las Vegas in September 2023, snagging U2 with an ongoing concert residency starting on September 29 and running through March 2. The Sphere’s LED screen inside the theater is 160,000 square feet, boasting 16,000 pixels by 16,000 pixels — the highest resolution in the world. Also featuring 1,600 speaker panels using spatial audio through the screen without any visible speakers in the auditorium, the venue makes those in attendance fully immersed in sound and visuals. The arena can hold up to 18,600 guests in the auditorium. It is no wonder why the company wants to expand, as it is clearly leading the entertainment industry in the right direction.

Besides U2, rumors of Beyoncé planning a Las Vegas residency at the Sphere swirled after her Super Bowl country album announcement in which she sat atop the glowing globe. Partnering with Verizon in the $50 million advertisement, the "Texas Hold 'Em" singer tries to break the internet over and over again. Taking on different personas and skills, she opens a lemonade stand, drops a "saxy" album, becomes a Twitch gamer by the handle @IamSlayoncé, a Beyonc-AI double, Bar-Bey, running for "BOTUS," on top of the Sphere atop a silver horse, and the first woman to launch the first rocket to the first performance in space. The commercial concluded by cryptically teasing the release of "new music," Beyoncé's country album, Act II, on March 29th.
