300 Couples Will Exchange Vows During Solar Eclipse Mass Wedding
Nearly 300 couples in Russellville, Arkansas have decided to exchanging wedding vows on a very special day, April 8th! This is the date of the highly anticipated solar eclipse.
A Solar Eclipse “I Do”
This unique opportunity has been described as a “once-in-a lifetime” experience especially if you believe that there’s a spiritual connection to the solar eclipse. Some believe that the solar eclipse can trigger transformation and renewal so getting married would make sense if you feel a connection during this time.
According to People Magazine, couples will be offered a free wedding ceremony complete with decorations, flowers, cake and even a bottle of sparking fruit drink. Although the ceremony is free couples and they’re guest may purchase tickets to the “Total Eclipse of the Heart Music Festival” where the ceremony will take place.
The organizer of the event says that the couples all come from diverse backgrounds and many of them can afford traditional weddings but something about the allure of getting married during a solar eclipse has them drawn in.
I have said on multiple occasions that I am a non-traditional girl, I would totally do something like this! traditional weddings are great, don’t get me wrong but something about having an unforgettable moment like this definitely has its appeal.
