It's the season of love as we slowly wait for Valentine's Day. It's the day we celebrate being in a relationship, celebrate being single, or wish we were in a relationship. It is that time of year when you want to really enjoy and embrace all of the love and gushy feelings you may have for someone special. I know, because it is one of my favorite holidays. I love celebrating love. Whether it be my own love or the love life of my friends and those around me, I always get excited to celebrate. I look forward to being able to celebrate and see all of the couples around me.

This year, I am in a relationship, so Valentine's Day will be a bit more special. With so many ideas in my head, it's hard to really settle on what I want to get my significant other. From what to get to what to do, it's so many things that rush through your mind during this time of year. So, I decided to start looking up some ideas and see what is happening. Using an Apple Watch he borrowed from a flight attendant, Riaz was able to monitor the woman’s oxygen levels and heartbeat. He soon discovered she had a low oxygen saturation level and, using an oxygen cylinder he got from the crew, was able to give the woman supplemental oxygen. The doctor continued monitoring her vitals until they landed in Italy about an hour later.

Once safely on the ground, the woman quickly recovered and was escorted off the plane by medical staff. Reflecting on the incident, Dr Riaz says it was fortunate that he was able to use the watch to help the woman and he praised the Ryanair staff for handling the emergency. He also called on airlines to consider stocking a standard emergency physician kit on future flights.
