Landscaper In China Grove Mistakes Dead Body For Halloween Decoration
A family in China Grove North Carolina has been left horrified and confused. WBTV reports a groundskeeper at a law enforcement training center mowed around a dead body mistaking it for a creepy Halloween decoration. Sadly Robert Paul Owens, 34, was found last week at an abandoned log cabin near the training center.
While taking care of the lawn, the landscaper thought the body was “a fake dummy used for training.” The man therefore didn’t report it, according to police. However, a construction worker on the property saw the body the next day and immediately reported it. Owens’ family is still waiting for answers regarding where he was found, how he was found, and how he died.
