LauRen’s Mom Dana, Chiara, LauRen, Jax and Cash. We learned so much on our first trip to Disney. I now have a lot of tips and tricks. I personally think you need a 1:1 ratio. 1 adult to child because they might not want to do the same things and everyone gets a “buddy” to be responsible for this way.

For some people, becoming a grandparent is the most wonderful thing in the world, but being called grandma? Not so much. There are so many options for the kids to call new grandparents. So what are some popular grandparent names people can be called?

well, my mother felt this way when I had my first son, Cashton. She was still pretty young and didn't necessarily look like a grandma, so she felt like it didn't fit. She didn't want to be called Grandma anyway, so she opted for the German version of Oma!

I mean a rose by any other name is still a rose, so does it really matter what people are comfortable being called?

It seems the traditional names make a lot of folks feel old before their time, implying they’re knitting blankets and wearing orthopedic shoes now that they have grandchildren. That’s why many are opting to go with alternate names. According to the Huff Post and a new study , here are the most popular options.

The most common alternative names for grandmothers in the U.S. are:

  1. Gigi
  2. Nana
  3. Mimi
  4. Gran
  5. Bibi
  6. Momo

For grandfathers, the most-used alternate names are:

  1. Poppy
  2. Pops
  3. Papi
  4. G-Pa
  5. Grandude
  6. Papa

The study also reveals the top names in each state, aside from “Grandma” and “Grandpa”:

  • “Mamaw” is the top pick for Grammies in Alabama, Indiana, Ohio and Wisconsin.
  • “Pop-pop” is the most common alternative for grandfathers in Pennsylvania, Maryland, North Carolina, Missouri, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
  • “Abuelo” and “Abuela,” which are Spanish for grandpa and grandma, are most popular in states with large Spanish-speaking populations, including Florida and California.

It's a great way to burn a lot of energy for the kids (and calories for the adults!). There are so many options it can be hard to even know where to start when picking which one to go to. You want it to be convenient and affordable but also clean and safe. That is why I turned to Yelp to see what the best-rated Charlotte trampoline parks are.
