Patient Declared Dead By EMT Wakes Up Hours Later

A patient in the UK who was declared “dead” by ambulance workers woke up in the hospital hours later. The patient, who hasn’t been named but was reported to be a 50-year-old woman. NDTV reports she had been declared dead when paramedics tended to her earlier that day. However, once she was transported to Darlington Memorial Hospital, she miraculously woke back up.

The ambulance service director issued an apology immediately following the incident. Meanwhile, sadly it’s since been reported the woman has subsequently died. Durham Police have made an official statement saying, ''Officers are investigating following the death of a woman in her 50s. The death is currently being treated as unexpected and a postmortem will now be carried out.''

To me, death has never been taboo. It's something a lot of us think about but never speak on. Death is a topic some people prefer not to discuss, but we cannot escape it. Nobody has ever managed to escape it.
