According to Bustle, these hacks will dress up your hard seltzer and the best part? They’re all made with things you probably already have in your kitchen.
- Add fresh fruit - You can never go wrong with adding lemon or lime to a hard seltzer. A squeeze of grapefruit or fresh strawberries are good additions as well.
- Mix with juice - A splash of orange juice or cherry juice will upgrade the flavor of your spiked seltzer.
- Use it as a mixer in a cocktail - If you’re making a vodka soda, swap regular club soda for a lime or any citrus hard seltzer.
- Add it to your Aperol Spritz - Fans of this cocktail can sub the seltzer of their choice for either the club soda or the prosecco. And if it’s an orange-flavored seltzer? Even better.
- Make a wine spritzer - Use the boozy bubbly instead of club soda in a white wine spritzer.
- Add mint, lavender or another cocktail herb - Make it fancy by adding a sprig of lavender or a few mint leaves.
- Use it to make other cocktails - Hard seltzer is a great swap in a Gin Rickey, a hard lemonade or limeade, a makeshift margarita, sangria or a knock-off French 75.
- Add a splash of simple syrup - And if you want it to be really extra, try cardamom-infused simple syrup with a grapefruit hard seltzer or jalapeño-infused simple syrup.

North Carolina’s Favorite Brunch Cocktail Isn’t What You’d Think
"Breakfast is brunch, and it comes with champagne, a dress code, and a hundred of our closest friends."-Gossip Girl. I've always said that what makes brunch great is the excuse to drink in the morning. Whether you elect for a mimosa (or just the prosecco with some OJ on the side if you're like me), a bloody mary, or the signature cocktail, there is no better way to start off a weekend. I'd say some f'rose in the summer is my top brunch cocktail. A new study by Eat This Not That revealed the most popular brunch cocktail in each state. And North Carolina's favorite brunch cocktail? Well, it isn't what you would think.
At least it wouldn't be my guess. Cocktails that made the list by winning a state include of course the mimosa your classic OJ and prosecco. Sex on the Beach also made an appearance. I can't say I've ever considered one for breakfast but to each their own! An expresso martini, madras (never heard of this one!), Irish coffee, sangria and more. But North Carolina's favorite brunch cocktail? It's none of those. I do consider it a classic brunch drink, just one that tends to slip my mind. In fact, maybe I'll order one the next time I go to brunch. You know, for research.
Most popular brunch cocktails were determined by search data for each state.
Each State's Favorite Brunch Cocktail
Alabama: Bellini

A twist on a mimosa a bellini is made with prosecco and peach puree.
Alaska: Tequila Sunrise

Nothing like tequila to wake you up. A tequila sunrise features OJ, grenadine, and tequila. Cheers!
