Losing a job can be a difficult and stressful experience, but it's important to remember that it's not the end of the world. With a positive attitude and a willingness to work hard, you can get back on your feet and find a new job that's even better than the last one.

Layoffs happen and they seem to be happening a lot this year. It’s devastating but know that you are not the first person to lose their job and you are not going to be the last.

It’s hard to move on from losing your job. Between denial, the negative effect it has on your attitude, or taking it personally, there are a lot of emotions at play. But it’s so important to get back on your feet after losing your job and to get back out there.

According to YourTango, here’s how you can do it.

  1. Frame your situation differently. Think about moving forward instead of thinking about your worries. Think of it as though it was your choice to move on.
  2. Embrace the future. Open your mind to new possibilities and don’t judge new ideas that come to you. Also, make sure you know your finances and know how long you can spend searching for a new gig.
  3. Access your connections. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Let others know you’re looking so they can potentially introduce you to others.
  4. Don’t bad-mouth your former company or employers. It won’t reflect well on you and it could burn some connections.
  5. Don’t skip out on self-care. Finding a new job is tough, especially when you don’t want to be in this position. Try and reduce your stress levels by remembering to take care of yourself.
  6. Surround yourself with the best. It’ll both make you feel better and encourage you.

The World’s Top Dream Jobs

Hopefully you're not sitting at work HATING what you do, but not all of us get to work out our dream job. Life just doesn't work out like that. Many of us are okay just working our 9 to 5's and going home to live our lives from 5 to 9.

I could list a few "dream jobs": actor, influence, travel photographer. Well a new survey revealed what most people in the world consider to be the biggest dream job, and the answer may surprise you.

Here are the dreamiest jobs, according to a survey by Remitly!

10.) Teacher

Teachers in North Carolina have to deal with low pay and a lot of other problems, but around the world, it is still considered to be a dream job for most.

9.) Singer

Being a singer used to be my dream job, and it seems to be a lot of others too!

8.) Programmer

They didn't go into detail about what kind of programming, but it did make the list!

7.) Influencer

I would venture to guess this would be the answer for all of Gen Z if you were to ask them about their dream job.

6.) Actor

Actor is probably one of the dream jobs you could have guessed!

5.) Entrepreneur

What could be better than being your own boss?

4.)YouTuber

Turns out, most people would be okay filming their life on the daily.

3.) Dancer

If I could only dance, I would agree with this one.

2.) Writer

This is one of the only ones on the list I would have to disagree with, but I've never been too good at writing.

1.) Pilot

There you have it! The most dreamy job is a pilot!
