Here’s How North Carolina Takes Their Margaritas

Margaritas are a favorite drink in North Carolina. It doesn't matter if you prefer it frozen or on the rocks, there is no doubt margaritas are good. Maybe you like strawberry or lime, or prefer something classic. there's no wrong choice when it comes to ordering a margarita.

Since the 1930s, house parties and Mexican restaurants have served the iconic tequila cocktail. Thanks to Shane Co., a survey of 2,600 adults, aged 21+, was conducted to see who likes what. The survey was done to better understand the nation's margarita preferences. It revealed how residents in each state take their margarita.

Shane Co. calculated how many margaritas it takes residents in each state to get tipsy, the cost of getting tipsy off margaritas, and how much Americans spend on margaritas each year. Find out which type of margarita is North Carolina's favorite, as well as other "salty" information below.

Here’s How Each State Takes Their Margarita

One of the most popular combinations is a classic margarita with Patrón tequila, on the rocks with a salt rim.
