This North Carolina City Made ‘The Most Neighborly City’ List
While some people prefer not to know their neighbors at all, others are stuck with the worst neighbors ever, and some lucky folks actually like their neighbors. In honor of National Neighbor Day (September 28th), a new report reveals the most friendly cities in the U.S. A North Carolina city actually made the Most Neighborly City list. Any guesses? It’s not in the Piedmont, but in the Triad. Congrats to Raleigh as the only North Carolina city to make the list at number 9.
- Neighbor.com comes up with their list by rating cities based on metrics including volunteering, charitable giving, neighborly acts, crime rates and the percentage of residents who vote.
- The Most Neighborly City in the U.S. in 2023 is Madison, Wisconsin. It came in second last year and topped the list in 2021.
- Madison gets high ratings for its outdoor recreation and it’s home to the largest producer-only farmers’ market in the country.
