Travis Kelce Jersey Sales Spike 400% After Taylor Swift Attends His Game

It's not often my two favorite things combine- music, more specifically Taylor Swift, and football. I have been a die-hard Swiftie since before that term was coined (fun fact most fans hated it when it first started being used). I know, I know everyone says that but I have receipts to back it up. And football has been a part of my life, well forever. But I truly fell in love with it in middle school the first time the Panthers went to the Super Bowl. My love of football is not limited to one team. While I have my favorites, I'll watch literally any college or NFL game that's on. So consequently I've seen a lot of Kansas City Chiefs games in recent years. And I was prior to Sunday, very familiar with who Travis Kelce was unlike many Taylor Swift fans.

I think we all fell in love with his mom during the Super Bowl last year and her conflict of having both sons playing against each other for the biggest game of their lives. But the world saw Mama Kelce again on Sunday, this time side by side with Taylor Swift. The link between the pair was first revealed when Swift played Arrowhead Stadium back in July. Travis Kelce attended the show and reportedly was upset he didn't get to meet Swift and give her a friendship bracelet with his number on it. There were/are no meet and greets on the Eras Tour. But hey when you're a celebrity and you go public, your people know people. And the football star did manage to get in contact with her.

Rumors had swirled for a couple of weeks about a possible link between the pair. I was skeptical, I never believe her relationships until they are confirmed either by her or photographic evidence. But I was alerted to a rumor shortly before game time on Sunday. That Taylor was going to be at the Chiefs game. In Travis Kelce's suite. And it was soon after that my phone went nuts with people sending me the photos. Newsflash though, when it comes to Taylor, just assume I already know. I always already know. And there Taylor was, an admitted Eagles fan, in a Chiefs jacket, cheering on Travis Kelce.

She also left the stadium with him in a convertible and reportedly went to an afterparty with him, his family, and many Chiefs teammates. Some people say they've been secretly dating since this summer. I don't buy that. Deumoxi ( a gossip site that is typically reliable) says via a source close to Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes the pair had been on two dates prior to Sunday's game. He invited her to the game and she excitedly took him up on that offer. Other reports say that the pair are both (undeniably) busy with work and just having fun and hanging out right now.

Will this go anywhere? Who knows. In the words of Taylor herself, "So it's gonna be forever, Or it's gonna go down in flames?" Or maybe it's just going to be a fun stint. While I'm admittedly a diehard football fan and Taylor Swift fan, I'm not ready to invest my money in this relationship. But a lot of people are. Since Swift was sighted at the game ESPN reports that Travis Kelce jersey sales have spiked 400%. Perhaps if I was a Chiefs fan. But Taylor this is one dollar you haven't convinced me to spend. At least not yet! 

The fact that I'm quoting ESPN in a blog about Taylor Swift is mindblowing. The fact that the NFL is embracing her and even posting a welcome to new fans with a you should know graphic. Players and coaches across the league are being asked about her. It's mind-blowing. And something I never imagined. Just remember Taylor, in your life you'll do things greater than dating the boy on the football team. But he seems like a good one. And if he makes you happy it makes me happy.

Taylor Swift and her budding relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has taken a significant step.

The pop superstar was spotted at the Chiefs' game on Sunday (September 24) against the Chicago Bears. It was one thing that she was wearing Chiefs colors and sitting in Kelce's suite. However, Swift was also sitting next to his mom, Donna.

Weeks ago, it was reported by Page Six that Swift and Kelce were "hanging out" and spending some private time together. On top of that, there have been some notorious mentions of the singer on the podcast New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce.

Swift's love life has certainly been eventful this year. In April, it was announced she and Joe Alwyn broke up. The couple had been together for six years. Their relationship inspired at least one song: "Lavender Haze" off of Swift's 2022 album Midnights.

Swift infamously rebounded with The 1975's frontman Matty Healy, but by June, the couple was reportedly over.

Sure, the Chiefs/Bears game aired on FOX, but ESPN couldn't help but comment about this hot gos. The network wrote via X, "Taylor Swift is at Arrowhead Stadium to watch Travis Kelce and the Chiefs."

NFL Network host Bridget Condon got in on the reactions to the Swift spotting. She wrote on X, "The duo you never knew you needed: Taylor Swift and Donna Kelce."

Naturally, Barstool Sports added to all of the chatter about Swift watching the Chiefs game. The outlet wrote, "Travis Kelce legacy game loading with Taylor Swift in the crowd."

The iconic ESPN show shared a video of Taylor and Donna clearly having fun in the suite. The clip is captioned, "Taylor Swift chatting it up with Travis Kelce's mom, Donna."
