GettySnoop Dogg is joining the fight to help a South Carolina woman save her land by giving her 10 thousand dollars. The rapper has reportedly donated a huge chunk of change to a 93-year-old woman named Josephine Wright. She's been fighting a legal battle against real estate developers. They claim her satellite dish, shed, and porch are delaying construction. They say they can't develop because her things are encroaching on their property.
However, Wright’s 1.8 acres of land in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina has been in her husband’s family since the Civil War. Because of this, she’s filed a countersuit against the developers. She's alleging a “constant barrage of tactics. Including intimidation, harassment, trespass, to include this litigation in an effort to force her to sell her property.”
Enter, Snoop. A rep for the performer confirmed to CNN that he made a $10,000 donation to help her fight the good fight in court. “I did it from the heart,” Snoop said in a statement. “She reminds me of my mother and grandmother.” And he’s not alone. Studio exec/actor/director Tyler Perry posted a note to his Instagram page. Saying, “please tell where to show up and what you need to help you fight.”
Snoop Dogg Tweets He Should Buy Twitter, Fans Are Here For It
Elon Musk recently made headlines when news broke that he was going to buy Twitter. Today, however, he says that the deal is on hold. Snoop is probably kidding, but he tweeted that he's thinking about buying the social media platform.
The hashtag #WhenSnoopBuysTwitter quickly began trending. One of his first talking points was adding free internet for the next time you travel: "First line of business. Free internet on airplanes!!! 29 dollars for 1 hour is bulls---."
Under Snoop's Twitterverse everyone is verified, no need for the annoying application process. "Everyone gets a blue checkmark. Even tha bots with 10 letters in their name that hit you in DMs n just say 'Hello," he tweeted then reconsidered. "Nah f--- those bots."
He also is going to be some changes on the corporate side of Twitter as well, "Gonna replace the board of directors with Jimmy from my corner Fish Fry, Tommy Chung and tha guy with the ponytail on CNBC," the rapper tweeted.
Take a look at how fans are responding to Snoop's changes and their suggestions for the social platform:
