Now, when it comes to going to college we all know there is one goal. Graduating! Yes, college is a time to meet new people, find yourself, and so much more but it's also an investment. Quite an expensive investment if you ask me and my student loans from my four years of college. So, for those who get to college and are unable to finish can be some of the most heartbreaking things. It's honestly only a good investment if you actually graduate and can put that degree to use. But, that's not the story for everyone.

Degree Choices is naming not only the worst colleges in the U.S. but also colleges with the worst graduation rates. Crazy enough, a South Carolina school made the top 3 list of schools with the worst graduation rates. As sad as this is to hear, it's also good for us to know and understand. Coming in at #3 for colleges with the worst graduation rate is Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina. Benedict College is a private co-educational liberal arts historically black college in South Carolina. The school's graduation rate is 23.9%.

There are many reasons that could cause a school to have a low graduation rate. There are many reasons that can differ between students, but also documented things such as dissatisfaction with the school, scarce resources, and schools' inability to meet the student's needs. It's crazy to think about the unfortunate circumstances that lead to this, but it's the harsh reality. Wondering what other schools made this list? Check out the full study here.
