GettyIf you live in Waxhaw, or are at least familiar with the area you may know of an old Burger King sitting off Providence Road. Film crews have transformed the old BK in Waxhaw into a real-life working movie set for an upcoming release.
WSOC TV reports the movie is called “Operation Taco Gary." Apparently it's about two brothers who embark on a cross-country road trip. The trip quickly devolves when they become involved in a global conspiracy. Whatever that means haha.
North Carolina has become somewhat of a hot-bed for movie filming. SNL's Please Don't Destroy movie was shot in NODA.
This also helps with the hiring of local freelance movie staff in the area.
Wanna be in the film? The casting website says they'll be filming on a variety of dates through the end of June. They also need cars made in 2000 and newer, with an emphasis on a brown cars!
