Movie Shot In Noda Featuring SNL Actors Gets Release Date
A movie that was shot in the NODA area of Charlotte with popular SNL actors has a release date. The “Please Do Not Destroy” movie will drop on November 17th on the Peacock network. Please Do Not Destroy features actors; made up of Ben Marshall, John Higgins and Martin Herlihy.
Industry paper Variety indicated the movie is about three childhood friends who live and work together. When they don’t like where their lives are headed, the trio sets off to find a gold treasure that’s rumored to be buried in a nearby mountain.
The film was supposed to be on the big screen. It was originally expected to hit theaters in August. No word as to why it was pulled.
North Carolina has really upped it’s movie and television production recently. More than $250 million dollars have been made and 16,000 jobs were created last year, state officials said.
Did you know more than 70 projects were filmed around North Carolina in 2022? Shows like “Hightown” and “The Summer I Turned Pretty.” Don’t forget the reality shows. Networks also shot episodes and features in the Tar Heel State, including “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives,” “Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks,” and “Pawn Stars.”
