No matter where you live, you’re probably not far from a gym, as Equinox, Planet Fitness and 24 Hour Fitness are pretty much everywhere. But a surprising newbie is stepping in to change the game with a new kind of exercise space. According to FoodBeast, Halo Top Ice Cream is opening “no work workout” circuit gyms across the country to shake things up and change the idea that exercise is boring.
They’re being promoted as an “un-gym” and they’re already in New York, with Chicago, Phoenix and Los Angeles up next. The 24-minute circuit isn’t the stereotypical fitness experience, with activities including:
- Running through the aisles of their pop-up market to shop for Halo Top instead of running on a treadmill.
- Working up a sweat by having an ultimate pillow fight rather than punching a bag.
- Taking a spin on the Halo Top mechanical bull instead of doing a cycling class.
- Seeing how long you can hang from a basketball rim after dunking a Halo Top ball, rather than doing regular pull-ups.
But the best part of the whole experience? You get free Halo Top ice cream at the end of the sweat sesh.
