Tennessee Whiskey, Kentucky Bourbon. Maybe it's time we throw North Carolina bourbon in the mix. Turns out we are already there. Our friends over at BetCarolina.com compiled a list of the nation's top bourbon states. They used Google Search data to determine which states show the most interest in one of the most popular varieties of alcohol. And while it's not my g0 to I definitely appreciate an old-fashioned every once in a while. So are you surprised North Carolina bourbon is named near the top of this list?
Top Bourbon States
- Kentucky
- Missouri
- Louisiana
- Tennessee
- Kansas
- Ohio
- Virginia
- Colorado
- North Carolina
- Indiana
- Mississippi
- Alabama
- Maryland
- South Carolina and Nevada (TIE)
- New Mexico
Not bad, North Carolina, not bad. I've never actually (to my knowledge) had North Carolina bourbon but perhaps it's time to pay the ABC store a visit. South Carolina also made the list tied with Nevada at number 14. Know some good North Carolina bourbon I should try? Let me know!
