Man Kept Mother Mummified So They Could Watch TV Together

A 76-year-old man known throughout the community as “Vampire” has been found to have his mother’s mummified corpse propped up on his couch. She was found to be “watching TV” for the last 13 years. Reports say the man, named Marian L., dug up his mother’s grave in Poland. He then brought the body back to his house nearby. It was there he would allegedly talk to the corpse and even try to feed it.
The secret was only discovered when his brother-in-law came to visit. It was then, the relative noticed Marian wandering around outside the house looking a bit crazed. That's when the person decided to call paramedics. When help arrived, they entered the house and found the corpse lying on a couch on top of a pile of newspapers dating from 2009.
*Although the gruesome discovery was made in February, the news is reporting it now that Marian has been charged with the desecration of a corpse.
