Real estate professionals offer their clients contracts to discuss home purchases, insurance or real estate loans. Home sales agents sit at the office with new home buyers in the office.

Everyone can feel stressed out at work but it turns out women carry the weight more than men.

According to CNBC and new research from “Future Forum” is showing that burnouts at an all-time high. They spoke to over 10,200 full-time desk-based worked spanning six countries, the US included. Of this, 42% admitted to being burnt out, which is a new record.

The study also found that there are some people who are at a greater risk of this burnout. Those people are women and workers under the age of 30. According to the study:

  • 48% of 18 to 29-year-olds said they feel drained
  • 40% of those 30 and older admitted the same
  • 46% of women reported burn out
  • Only 37% of men said they’re feeling burnout

“Younger millennials and Gen Z were raised with a lot of pressure to be high achievers but are starting their careers in a chaotic landscape”, Denver-based psychologist Debbie Sorensen explained to CNBC. “We haven’t had time to recover from the trauma of what we’ve been through the last few years,” Sorensen says. “Women and young people, in particular, are putting an immense amount of pressure on themselves to keep going, keep working, no matter the cost.”
