The wife of the Charlotte meteorologist who was killed in the November helicopter crash has hired the same lawyer Venessa Bryant used. WCNC reports that the wife of Jason Meyers is suing over the crash that took the lives of her husband Jason and pilot Chip Tayag.

The suit claims contaminated fuel and improper maintenance of the aircraft may have been factors in the crash. The suit lists Wilson Air Center, TTWN Media Network, and iHeartMedia.

The family is seeking damages for their loss. They've also hired prominent lawyer Gary Robb to represent them. Robb recently represented Kobe Bryant's wife Vennesa in the high-profile helicopter accident that took Kobe and her daughter's lives. She won 29 million in that suit.

The crash which happened in November near I-77 shut the highway down for several hours.
