It’s National Margarita Day-Where To Celebrate In Charlotte North Carolina

Author Debbie Nance
February 22nd 10:18 AM

It’s National Margarita Day!  But, do you know where to celebrate in Charlotte, North Carolina?  AXIOS Charlotte put together a list of 15 spots you might want to check out for your tequila fix.  This list includes quite a few of our faves that also offer tremendous food to complement your beverage.  A few of the places include the following.  AXIOS says a good place to start is Condado Tacos.  I’m familiar with this one, because it’s located on Camden Rd. in South End right behind our office.  AXIOS says they have four house margaritas along with specialty ones, too.  And, there’s even a house flight with flavored mini house margaritas for the undecided.  Another on the list is RuRu’s Tacos and Tequila on Providence Rd. on the outskirts of Charlotte.  I mean, how can you go wrong?  Tequila is in the name.  We’ve been there several times, and it’s great.  AXIOS suggests the Magic Mike for $10 or specialty item Prison Love for $12.

Next, we highlight Superica on Worthington Ave. in South End or on Providence Rd. in South Charlotte.  We personally adore Superica for their fajitas, too!  AXIOS says to order the O.G. for $10 if you want a classic.  If you feel adventurous, they suggest The Matador for $12 with El Jimador Blanco, pineapple, lime and cilantro.  And, another on the AXIOS list is Bakersfield on East Blvd.  AXIOS says there’s five margs to choose from including a classic and fancier options such as the Mezcal and Cranberry Ginger.  So, explore your options for National Margarita Day.  And, check AXIOS full list here for more options!

List: The 20 Best Taco Restaurants In Charlotte North Carolina

Today, October 4th is National Taco Day. Of course, it’s a Tuesday as well! But let’s be honest there is never a bad time for tacos. Luckily there is no shortage of taco restaurants in Charlotte. Whether you like authentic, fancy, or Americanized Mexican there is an option for you. But how do you know which one to try? It can be tough to decide! I have my go-to favorites but what if I’m missing out on some that are even better? Turns out I might be. I have now set out on a mission to determine the best taco restaurants in Charlotte. My first step in this journey? To consult Yelp.

The rankings come from the review site Yelp and are based on the “highest rated” feature. I took the top 20 highest-rated restaurants from the search “taco”. For restaurants with more than one location, they are combined and ranked where the highest rated location was. There are some places I love that I was shocked didn’t make the list. Azteca on Woodlawn, RuRu’s Tacos and Tequila, and Paco’s Tacos are just a few! What’s your favorite spot? Let us know on social media. Happy National Taco Day. I know what I’ll be having for lunch today!

    Rating: 4 stars

This upscale Tex-Mex chain has two locations in Charlotte as well as others across the southeast. Reviews say the food is good ( I can conqour) but that it’s a little pricier than other spots on this list. But you are paying for the Southend atmosphere as well. Complementary chips and salsa and good margaritas also score Superica some points.

Easily my favorite Americanized tacos in Charlotte is Bakersfield. You order these tacos a-la-carte which means you can try multiple options! I’m not alone a Yelp reviewer also said these are some of the best tacos in Charlotte. Bakersfield is a chain, though this is the only local location. I also highly recommend their skillet queso. Delicious! And in addition to serving up authentic, Mexican street fare, you’ll also find a selection of over 100 tequilas and American whiskeys.

I’ve heard great things about this place, but haven’t had a chance to try it yet. One of the great aspects of this company is that for every meal purchased they donate a meal to a child in need. Tacos and charity, I can certainly get behind that!

Just as important is providing customers with good service and attention, framed by top quality, respect and honesty to make sure our clients live a memorable, unique and appealing experience.
