As parents, a lot of people say that there isn't a lot for these kids to do other than play video games or be lazy by staying in the house and doing nothing.  Well, the town of Mooresville had something to say about that as they officially opened a new $2.8 million skatepark facility on Saturday, December 3rd.

The new facility is located at 748 W. Iredell Avenue and is the largest skate park in the Carolinas.  It has two bowls, an urban street course, a viewing area, and restrooms.  "This new skatepark will attract visitors from across the region," said Mayor Miles Akins.  Every detail was designed by skaters for skaters.

Kids who may not necessarily like to play stick and ball sports, feel as if they have an outlet now.  This is an alternative sport that a lot of teens and kids participate in that may not like playing basketball, baseball, football, or soccer.  Kids from the area say they are excited because they no longer have to drive to Denver, NC just to skate legally.

These Are The Best Charlotte Area Trampoline Parks

The back-to-school displays are out at Target. But you still have a few more weeks of entertaining the kids. Is a trampoline park on the agenda? It's a great way to burn a lot of energy for the kids (and calories for the adults!). There are so many options it can be hard to even know where to start when picking which one to go to. You want it to be convenient and affordable but also clean and safe. That is why I turned to Yelp to see what the best-rated Charlotte trampoline parks are.

And I had no idea they offered so many activities! You have the jumping, the foam pits, and basketball. But also rides, obstacle courses, and zip lines. Add in food and drink options as well. Do I have to have a kid to visit one? Trampoline parks also make a great destination for birthdays whether it's just doing something special or a party with friends!

This list features 9 trampoline parks in and around the Charlotte area ranked from lowest to highest based on the number of stars given to them in Yelp reviews.
