The Powerball hits 1.9 billion here's what to do if you win. No, you didn’t win the Powerball on Saturday night!! Damn it!! But then, no one else did either. Now? The grand prize has reached a level never seen before: a one-point-nine billion dollar jackpot. When the numbers come up tonight, that's how much you could have your hands on if you're the lucky winner.

Of course, that’s if you take the annuity. Take the cash option and you’ll pocket $930-million…well, before taxes. The last Powerball jackpot was won by a ticket in Pennsylvania in August, surpassing the previous record of 40 straight drawings without a winner.

As for Saturday’s drawing, there was one two-million-dollar winner in Kentucky…and 16 million-dollar winners (see that list HERE)

So let's say you win the billion dollar lottery. What do you do? Like for real. The Today Show says do these things right away.

  • Take a picture or video of you holding the winning ticket. This is proof it's yours.
  • Keep it on the down low. Don't post to social media bragging!
  • Hire a team to manage your money. Ric Edelman, chairman and chief executive officer of Edelman Financial Services, recommends using a financial advisor. “As a buffer with all those who ask you for money — this will help insulate you and protect your relationships.
  • Don't accept the money right away. Kathleen Jacob, public affairs specialist at the North Carolina Education Lottery, suggests holding out as long as possible. "One of the biggest things we urge players to do is to take their time," she said. "Prize claim policies may vary in each state, but here in North Carolina players have 180 days to claim their prize. This will give a player time to make some very important decisions, like what they want to do with the money and how they think it will change their life."
  • Hire a therapist. You're not the same person anymore.

So Powerball hits 1.9 billion no you know what to do if you win.
