One famous Friends scene happened in real life to one woman.  There’s a scene in the super popular 90s sitcom where Chandler, Rachel, and Ross are moving a couch up a set of stairs.  They begin lifting it up the first flight of stairs.  They then have to turn 180 degrees and lift it up the second flight of stairs.  As they are turning the couch to start walking up the second flight and while Ross is yelling “Pivot”, the couch gets stuck.  Chandler then becomes trapped behind the couch in a corner and this scene becomes one of the most popular scenes of the long-running show which is available on Netflix.  The fire department wasn’t needed to rescue Chandler but the same cannot be said about one woman.

An Ohio couple were recently trying to move a couch into their basement.  The couch became wedged in the stairway, fully blocking the woman on the bottom from getting up the stairs.  She was trapped for three hours until the fire department showed up.  Luckily their daughter showed up to grab video before the fire department showed up.  Mom’s waving hand is now famous and just as funny as the famous friends scene.  Next time you have to move a couch, always remember to understand the couch dimensions and the corners you have to turn.  Also, make sure you have a couple of friends or five to help.  If you’re unsure if you can move it, be a moving spotter for your friends but make sure your video is on.  Watch the viral TikTok below!
