Are you planning on getting some trick-or-treating done this year? One thing we can all agree on is that we should be sure that safety comes first. Many children go out trick or treating with groups of friends or family, parents chaperon together, and other safety precautions to be sure Halloween can be safe. Halloween can be a fun, but also dangerous time if you and your kids are not being safe and mindful of things.

The Chamber of Commerce released a list of the safest cities to go trick or treating in. Of course, one North Carolina city made the top of the list. The best thing to do this Halloween is to be safe and be sure your kids are safe as well. To determine the safest cities, they took into consideration a few things such as pedestrian fatalities, violent crime, property crime, number of registered sex offenders, and number of law enforcement employees. We are happy to see that North Carolina made that top ranking. Check out the top 5 safest cities for trick or treating.

  1. Gilbert, AZ
  2. Cambridge, MA
  3. Cary, NC
  4. Naperville, IL
  5. Rochester, MN

No other South Carolina or North Carolina city made the top 25 of the list. I guess Cary, NC is one of the safest cities in the state and that is no different for trick-or-treating fun as well. Check out the full list here and see what non-Carolina cities made the list.

Charlotte Adults Only Halloween Events For 2022

Rich & Bennett Pub Crawl

Charlotte’s Original and Biggest Halloween Crawl is BACK on Saturday, October 29, 2022, and better than ever. Expect 25+ participating locations throughout Uptown Charlotte and great drink specials at each of the bars. Cost varies from $10-$25 (pending when you purchase tickets) and includes drink specials, event koozie, giveaways, fun swag, costume contest, and automatically enters you into a raffle to win some amazing prizes.

Crawl With Us Halloween Bar Crawl

The Crawl With Us Bar Crawl also takes place on October 29th. This multi-city event is often called "Make Your Own Adventure Crawls". The reason for this is that there are a ton of bars, drink specials, and other things going on, minus the set agenda. The reason there is not a “bar 1, bar 2, bar 3” format is that most of the time crawls are so large that many of the bars are not large enough for the whole group. Tickets include 2 drinks or shots, a badge/lanyard, cover charges, after party, costume contest, and more!

Spooky Season Bar Hop

Also on October 29th, tbut this time in historic South End, Noda, and Plaza-Midwood neighborhood. Charlotte's trendiest spots will be taken over by the walking dead bar hopping this holiday! Tickets include admission to 25+ bars and breweries, swag from partners, awesome giveaways, map of locations, exclusive drink specials, and entry into the $500 Instagram costume contest.

Project Terror

Project Terror is an exclusive interactive event at Victoria Yards on September 28th. It will feature  DJ & Drummer Duo AMFM Live playing Open Format mixing Top 40, Hip Hop, EDM, Reggaetón and more, special musical guests, a full bar, dance floor, food, games, swag, and photo ops!

Charlotte Adult Game Night Costume Party
