Beyhive this is not a drill, a Renaissance tour is in the future. After weeks of speculation, Beyoncé quietly confirmed that there will be a Renaissance World Tour coming next summer. The superstar confirmed the news at the WACO Theater‘s Wearable Art Gala 2022 on Saturday night (Oct. 22) by auctioning an extravagant concert ticket package during the charity event.
A photo shared by an attendee began making rounds on Twitter that showed the auctioned tickets. The package read: “Valued at a total of $20,000, United [Airlines] x WACO offers you a chance to see Beyoncé on her ‘Renaissance’ tour starting in the summer of 2023 at any of United’s national and international destinations around the world. This prize is complete with 2 first-class international United Airlines Polaris tickets to select cities with 3-night hotel accommodations at a Marriott property. And, to one of the most sought-after musical performances of all time, 2 concert tickets to Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance’ 2023 tour with a guided backstage tour with Miss Tina [Beyoncé’s mother]!”
The winning bidder was said to have paid between $45,000 and $50,000 for the prize, Variety reports.
Despite the concert tickets going for a whopping $45,000 to $50,000, Beyoncé’s team has not officially announced or commented on when tickets will be available for the public. Renaissance was released back in July which earned the 28-time Grammy winner her seventh No. 1 album on the Billboard 200. Renaissance is billed as act one of three acts that she recorded over the pandemic. On the superstar’s website ahead of the release, she wrote: “My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking.”
Since the album dropped, Beyoncé released a teaser for “That Girl,” the first track on Renaissance, but all of the forthcoming parts, visuals, and including live performances have been kept under wraps for the time being.
