While some pet owners will go with tried and true names like Rover or Buddy, there are plenty of dog owners who like to get creative, and that made things a little awkward for one vet, who decided to share their experience on Reddit.

The vet writes that they recently had a chihuahua brought in for a checkup, noting it had a “rather unfortunate name,” that made “the whole consultation very awkward.” The vet explained, “The worst dog name was Sexy - for a chihuahua."

While you may not think Sexy is too strange, the vet shared some of the reasons things got awkward, noting he had to say things like “If you could just lift Sexy up here please, thank you" and "Now I might need your help to hold Sexy down.” The worst, though was when it came time to check the dog's butt, with the vet having to say, “I'm going to put this in your butt Sexy but I'll be quick.”

The post prompted tons of comments from users, with many finding the whole thing hysterical.

  • “Who in their right mind would name their dog Sexy,” with another joking, “Yes, but will you bring Sexy back?"
  • And another noted, “Why is it always chihuahua owners?"
  • But apparently, this vet isn’t the only one who’s had to deal with a Sexy name.
    • "We have a mastiff called Sexy at our clinic,” one person wrote. “We all refuse to use its name."

Imagine having to scream "Sexy get back here" when the dog runs away.
