Listen up new parents! A little PSA for you... A nurse reveals secret code words they use for ‘when a baby is ugly’ Believe it or not, sometimes, the stork needs to drop off a homely baby.

However, no matter if a newborn is rocking a blue blanket or a pink one — most proud parents will maintain that theirs is the cutest ever.

Too bad a nurse on TikTok has divulged the ugly truth: She claims to have undergone actual training on what to say to parents if their new arrival is, well, not camera ready, let’s say.

The New York Post reports a Seattle healthcare worker named Miki Rai posted a “What To Do If the Baby Is Ugly?!?!” explainer on what some nurses tell unsuspecting moms and dads. The now-viral snap has since scored almost 650,000 views.

“My preceptor in labor and delivery in nursing school actually taught me [what to say],” Rai revealed in the clip. She also stitched her explanation alongside a user named Aimee, who posted a snap showing off her new family addition.

The nurse continued: “If the baby is cute — you can just tell them the baby’s cute.”

On the flip side, “If the baby is ugly, you just tell [the parent] they look just like them,” she said with a laugh.

Rai went on to clarify that she doesn’t actually put this training into action — but she definitely knows other nurses who actually do.
