Kim Kardashian seems to be getting heat at least once a month for badly photoshopped images she posts on social media. This time, the Kardashians star posted a few pics of herself hanging out by the pool to Instagram earlier this month.

Following Kim’s August 16 upload, a TikToker accused her of photoshopping her trapezius (a muscle that starts at the base of your neck, goes across your shoulders and extends to the middle of your back) in a video that has gone viral this week with over seven million views and almost one million likes.

“Game time! Can you tell what’s been photoshopped in the image behind me?” says TikTok user @caroline_in_thecity, who then reveals the poolside pic of Kim. “Kim K is notorious for photoshopping out her traps. Why? I don’t know, maybe it makes her neck look smaller.”

In her clip, Caroline pointed out the results by using a “liquify” tool to show what the photo originally looked like. To take things further, the TikToker shared a screenshot from a video Kim posted to compare with the photoshopped image and toggled between the two photos to show the difference.

The comments section had fans shocked they had not noticed, with one user writing, “The fact that I would never have noticed but it’s painfully obvious after the fact.”

Another user thought the photoshop made Kim look worse, commenting, “I don’t understand why they do it, the non edited original is so much better looking.” Sharing the same thought, another TikToker commented, “The natural version looks so much better.”

Coming for the Kardashian sisters, one person wrote, “Honestly idc about the fact that they do it; I care more about the fact they deny it/ avoid talking about it. like it’s okay just be honest.” Another commented, “Are they not embarrassed when they do this?”

Kim Kardashian Faces Backlash Over Dramatic Weight Loss

Kim Kardashian made quite the impression at the Met Gala this year, after wearing the dress originally worn by Marilyn Monroe in 1962.

All eyes were on Kardashian, 41, and boyfriend Pete Davidson, 28, as they stepped out together as the last to arrive at the 2022 Met Gala. Kardashian borrowed one of Marilyn Monroe’s most iconic gowns — the “Happy Birthday, Mr. President” dress — which has been on display in Orlando, Florida, at Ripley’s Believe It or Not!

“I had this idea to try it on and then they came with armed guards and gloves,” Kardashian told Vogue correspondent La La Anthony on the red carpet, adding that she struggled with getting into the dress. “I tried it on and it didn’t fit me. I said, ‘Give me three weeks.’ I had to lose 16 pounds.”

“It was such a challenge. It was like a [movie] role. I was determined to fit it,” the SKIMS founder continued. “I haven’t had carbs or sugar in about three weeks. We’re having pizza and donut party back at the hotel.”

Now, she’s facing backlash online, with many criticizing her for discussing her extreme diet.

Nicola Dall’Asen wrote a piece for Allure, saying that Kim’s comments stated that “drastic weight loss isn’t just possible; it’s easy, and it’s glamorous.”

Dall’Asen also wrote that “there’s nothing inherently wrong with losing weight itself or wanting to lose weight… it’s the insistence that such drastic weight loss is an attainable goal that is worrisome here.”
