Ver heard of the "Rainbow Bridge?" Well, it is famous in a poem given to pet owners on the day they are saying goodbye to their furry friends. North Carolina has a real-life 'Rainbow Bridge' for those to enjoy during their time of grief.

What Is the Rainbow Bridge?

WRAL reports that the poem promises grieving pet owners that their pet has traveled to the Rainbow Bridge. Their pet will be able to run and play and be restored to health and youth at the Rainbow Bridge. This is the location your pet will be in while they wait to meet you again in the poem. Although the idea comes from a poem, there is an actual Rainbow Bridge right here in North Carolina for those to experience.

Hidden in the enchanted mountain wonderland is the Rainbow Bridge waiting to comfort grieving pet owners. According to WRAL, at the entrance of the bridge, a sign tells pet owners to attach their pet's leash or collar to the bridge. "A place to peacefully honor and remember our four-legged family members," says the Rainbow Bridge sign. Many pet owners have traveled across the state to experience the Rainbow Bridge. There are pet leashes, collars, toys, and messages from owners.

As you travel across the bridge, a garden to enjoy lies on the other side. Families can enjoy themselves together, with pets, or peaceful time alone. The River's Edge Dog Garden has tons of artwork for dogs to enjoy, says WRAL. The Rainbow Bridge is part of the Lake Lure Flowering Bridge in the North Carolina mountains. There are plenty of trails and outside greatness to experience throughout the area.

The Rainbow Bridge is part of a story, but can be very helpful to pet owners. Experience the Rainbow Bridge and enjoy all the magical feels.
