As a dancer, yoga has always been my jam. Half-moon, chair pose, and eagle have always been some of my favorite stretches so when I saw this story, I was confident that I could conquer this challenge.
According to UPI, there is a new study by the British Journal of Sports Medicine, that found if you struggle to stand on one foot for at least 10 seconds without touching the ground you are 84% more likely to die in the next 10 years.
Of course, our show saw that stat and wanted to try this exercise for ourselves! I think I knew Producer Nicole and I would thrive in this fun activity but with Maney’s ankles, I wasn’t sure our tennis-loving friend would be able to stay up for all 10 seconds.
If you want to try this challenge yourself, here’s what you need to know. Stand on one foot and take your free leg and wrap it behind your stable leg. Keep your arms down and to the sides of your body and your head should stay straight. Hold for 10 seconds.
