I found out a shocking fact yesterday when I went t0 see “Jurrasic Park World Dominion” with my son Dean. We were about 40 minutes into the movie when all of sudden the fire alarm went off!
I was at the Stonecrest Theater in Ballantyne enjoying my day off. So I thought! The alarm was loud.
At first, I thought it was part of the movie. Then the screen shut off and the lights came on. Then an announcement was made. “There was a fire detected in the building, please exit to the nearest emergency exit.”
So Dean and I walked out and waited a few minutes. Finally, after 10 minutes the CFD showed up. I assumed the theater would be cleared and we could all walk back in and pick up where we left off. That’s where I was wrong! Here’s what shocked me. I asked the manager if the movie would restart. She said “no.” They can’t restart the movie from the shut-off point because it’s programmed for the day! What!!???
So Dean and I split, and we got vouchers to come back another day. Now we’ll have to go 30 minutes late to avoid watching the first 30-40 minutes again haha.
BTW The firemen brought a giant fan into the building, so someone’s popcorn must’ve been burnt haha!
