Juneteenth Festival of the Carolinas Starts June 16th

Juneteenth Festival of the Carolinas is the oldest and largest Juneteenth Festival in the Carolinas. The multi-cultural Festival is free and fun for the entire family. This year celebrates 25 years from June 16th through the 19th. Meet us in the heart of Plaza Midwood at Thomas and Commonwealth Avenue where the festival first began. Charlotte, North Carolina will come alive with all types of multi-cultural vendors who have travelled from across the country and parts of Africa showcasing food, exquisite art, music and culturally relevant specialty items. This year’s entertainment lineup includes African drumming, dancers, all genres of music. Enjoy R&B music, Jazz, Reggae and Gospel featuring local, regional performers and national recording artists. International Fashion Designer, Khadim Soung from Senegal will present a fashion show of his original fashion designs from his company, Belle Allure Couture on Saturday evening.
