The Chainsmokers’ new album “So Far So Good” just dropped today and to celebrate they are offering up quite an opportunity for fans.

The EDM duo are getting ready to give away an NFT that will give a select group of fans a portion of their new album’s royalties for free. The giveaway kicks off Tuesday on the NFT marketplace Royal, and will be limited to 5,000 limited digital assets.

The first phase of the giveaway, from 6 pm to 8 pm EST, will consist of 4,000 tokens available only to The Chainsmokers’ VIP list. That will be followed by 700 tokens available to the list, as well as general access fans. Any fee associated with the transactions will be covered by Royal.

Those lucky enough to snag an NFT will get 1% of the album’s master streaming royalties, along with access to the group’s private Discord channel with exclusive content and more. They will also be able to resell the NFT on the secondary market, with The Chainsmokers giving their 7.5% secondary fee to the 14 songwriters credited on the album.

The duo says they are doing this because they “believe songwriters are underpaid,” noting, “we wanted to find a way to give them something extra for being a part of our journey.”
