Good news for North Carolina teachers. Salaries have improved this school year after early data suspected the opposite.  This is all according to the National Education Association’s annual teacher salary report. Then Monday, after analyzing new data, the NEA listed the average North Carolina teacher salary at $54,863. Instead of dropping two spots, this moved NC up to 34th in the country.
