Pharrell Williams was in DC with Mayor Muriel Bowser to announce that his “Something In The Water” music festival is moving from Virginia to DC.

The festival will take place June 17-19 on the grounds of DC’s National Mall. The Washingtonian says passes go on sale this Saturday (4/30) at 10am!

Already confirmed in the lineup is:

  • Pharrell & Phriends
  • Calvin Harris
  • Chloe x Halle
  • Dave Mathews Band
  • Jon Batiste
  • Lil Baby
  • Lil Uzi
  • Ozuna
  • Pusha T
  • Snoh Aalegra
  • Tyler the Creator
  • Omar Apollo
  • Dominic Fike
  • Usher and more!

Pharrell took the festival out of Virginia after his cousin was shot and killed by Virginia Beach police last year. In a letter to the city manager dated last October, the rapper and record producer said, “I wish the same energy I’ve felt from Virginia Beach leadership upon losing the festival would have been similarly channeled following the loss of my relative’s life.” He also said Virginia Beach “has been run by – and with – toxic energy.”

What festivals do you plan to attend this summer? Planning on attending “Something In The Water”?
