Bride And Caterer Charged After Spiking Wedding Food With Pot

A Florida bride named Danya Svoboda and a caterer are facing felony charges after they spiked the wedding food with weed. According to the police, “numerous guests” were treated for symptoms at the wedding.  One of the guests said a catering staffer told her she thought it “was common knowledge that cannabis was in the food.” Miranda Cady, a friend of the bride, says she asked Svoboda if there was marijuana in the food. The bride then admitted it had been added to the olive oil.

Cady says Svoboda acted like guests “should be excited,” as if they “were given a gift.”  The caterer, Jocelyn Bryant, was asked if there was weed in the food and she reportedly “giggled and shook her head yes.” When questioned, the groom apparently had no idea the food was spiked with weed.
