LONDON, ENGLAND – NOVEMBER 24: The “Tinder” app logo is seen amongst other dating apps on a mobile phone screen on November 24, 2016 in London, England. Following a number of deaths linked to the use of anonymous online dating apps, the police have warned users to be aware of the risks involved, following the growth in the scale of violence and sexual assaults linked to their use. Dating apps can be the absolute WORST! Take it from someone who has been on practically all of them, and been on more than enough dates from dating apps for one lifetime.

But there isn't a whole lot we can do about it. Sure, a lot of people still prefer to meet people in person ("the old fashion way") but dating apps have become the norm for adults looking for love. And frankly, it's the easiest way to meet men, or women you may have never come into contact with otherwise.

For my ladies, looking for men, if you feel like you have been trying and trying to no prevail, I get it... I've been there; that's why I wanted to share this info from a new study that may help you out.

For women on dating apps, there is actually one thing you can do to help up your chances of matching with someone else, and even meeting up for a date;

MAKE THE FIRST MOVE!

A recent OKCupid Study found that the odds would be in favor of women who messages a men first; 30% of those messages turn into a conversation. Women are 2.5 times more likely to get a response than men if they initiate contact.

So if you needed that extra motivation to take a chance, and send that message, this is it! You never know if your perfect match could just be sitting in your match category, waiting for a dm.
