Daylight Saving Time!? Fulltime! How much do I love this!! No more early darkness! Driving home in sunlight from work! Yes Queennnnn!
It’s true - the nation's permanent Time is closer to becoming law. The Senate approved it unanimously in a voice vote, sending the measure to the House. It would end the twice-yearly changes involving Standard Time and Daylight Saving Time.
In other words, no more "fall back" or "spring forward." The Senate bill was authored by Florida Republican Marco Rubio and Rhode Island Democrat Sheldon Whitehouse.
- On a related note, when most Americans move the clocks forward for Daylight Saving Time, hospitals report a 24-percent spike in heart-attack visits on the following Monday. The exact reason isn't clear, but experts think the lost hour of sleep plays a big role, in disrupting the body's natural rhythm. While a bit late for this year, one way to combat the change is to start going to bed and waking up 15 minutes earlier, two to three days before the change.
What do you think? You want Daylight Saving Time...Fulltime?
