A massive brawl broke out at a Pennsylvania Golden Corral involving more than 40 people. The incident started after an argument over a steak was had between two customers.
Alexis Rios told WPVI News that he had ordered a rare steak that was prepared quicker than another customer’s steak. That customer wanted a well-done steak, and he got mad when Rios received his steak first.
In the video from ABC7, a man can be heard yelling, “all I wanted was some steak,” as up to 40 people are seen throwing chairs and fists.
“I’ve never seen nothing [sic] like that in Golden Corral before,” former employee Dylan Becker told WCJB. “From what I heard it was over steak, apparently somebody cut in line.”
Another witness says the brawl started after the restaurant ran out of steak. “There was a shortage of steak and two parties were involved and one family cut in front of another family,” Gaven Lauletta said to KYW. “They were taking their time and they ran out of steak and it got into a heated exchange at the tables.”
Golden Corral released a statement regarding the brawl, “We notified the local authorities, and they are investigating the incident,” the statement read. “Thankfully, no serious injuries have been reported. The safety of our guests and co-workers is our top priority.”
